"I cannot control my eyes"

Last night we let the kids stay up, we were waiting for a family member to stop by on the way through... The baby crashed around 7pm, and the boys and Bobby and I all played Mario Party 7 and then the boys watched Batman Begins. Around 11 (a quarter of the way into the movie) Austin asked to go to bed. Christopher was asking tired, but insisted he could stay up. An hour later he was singing a diferent tune. He kept cuddling up with Dez (the cat) and finally he said "I cannot control my eyes!" Bobby and I both bust up laughing. He then said "They keep falling down, so I am going to bed, ok?" He was halfway through the movie and we told him to go up and go to sleep. At 12:59am the family member called and said she was staying the night in Denver and would see us in the morning. Its now 10:44am the next day and we still have not heard a thing. I am starting to wonder if maybe she decided just not to come and didn't tell us. This weekend we need to get groceries for T-day and go fix our friends' computers.

Electronic Leashes

Got Austin some high range 2 way radios... that way I can get a hold of him when he's out playing at the end of the block. I like the peace of mind I get knowing he can play outside without me hovering over him, yet I can reach him at a moments notice without having to go searching for him.

Its very cute though, he's trying to learn how to use them and has not figured out how the talk button works. Sometimes he keeps the button on AFTER he's done talking, sometimes the button is not held down long enough.

Quest for a good Photo

Not sure if you have noticed or not, but 75% of my photos are of the kids in their pajamas... not sure why, maybe because they are so rummy and delerious they take good photos, maybe the mood hits me at night to take pics, who knows.

Here are some outakes....

No, I do NOT drug my children!!

Oh look! A 3 headed crabby-baby in its natural habitat!

Mmmmmm, lens cap!

Ok, we are SO done with this mom.

And the keeper! Of twenty four pictures, this was the first....yes, the first one I took. All I have to say is thank goodness for digital, I cannot imagine paying $6 for developing, plus the cost of film to get one good picture out of 24! Ahhhh, I love my children though.

Payback is a…..

I could never understand why my mother did not enjoy school musical concerts... I mean how could you NOT love seeing your darling baby on stage singing his/her heart out?? Mom always told me.... "Wait until you have children!" Well guess what mom, I have three!!! And you were right, I was wrong... can I have some catsup with my crow?? Tonight was the district choir concert... 45 minutes of us sitting in the middle school gym while they rehearse, and then 1:15 minutes of listening to my darlings, as well as 5 other schools of some strangers' darlings. The theme was music from around the world. The night had some great moments... one of the schools sang "Three Blind Mice", yet there was some small differences, I will list the lyrics below, see if you can spot the differences.

Three sightless rodents, three sightless rodents,
Observe how they navigate, observe how they navigate.
They all pursued the agriculturalist's spouse,
Who severed their posterior appendages with a culinary object.
Have you ever observed such a phenomenon in your existence
As three sightless rodents.

Another school sang the GnR song "Sweet Child of Mine", I may have shed a tear or two, but I seem to be a little hormonal lately...

Christopher and Austin did a little dance to the song "Draw me a Bucket of Water". It was a little song where a group of four joined hands and each verse a child stepped into the circle, hard to explain, but once it was done they joined hands and ran in a circle. Chris was the smallest in his group and tripped his circle three times. Another time the only girl in the group was spun all the way off the ground. It was quite cute, though my little Christopher was QUITE antsy. Austin seems to have gotten over his stage fright, this is his second musical performance this year, and he does quite well now... last year he was the deer-in-the-headlights, hands-in-out-pocket, sing-only-when-we-are-feeling-extra-brave type performer. I have a lot to be proud of, I have good boys.

Speaking of good boys, Matthew was QUITE patient with all the chaos at the recital. I did end up retreating to the hall once, but generally I was very impressed.

So, all in all, the night was fine, though at times I thought it would never end.... at least this is the last concert for a while.... unless they do a winter concert! Uhhhhhggggggggg!

Haircuts

So, I finally cut the boys hair. They loved it long, but I wanted to trim it up. Austin decided to keep his long, but Chris waffled and decided to get it cut like a boys in a photo book. Austin's cut is so cute because his end curl a bit and he has more body. Austin was meant to have long hair, he looks so cute!

We have "dada"

Matthew started saying dada. This is AFTER I told my friend on Thursday about my concern of his lack of consanents. Aparently he listened. Dada is tickled pink! :)

I can claim my children!

All the time I hear how much my children look like their father. Well they do, but NO ONE ever says they look like me. In fact, Bobby even had someone ask if ANY of our kids were mine. UHG! Thanks to my dad for sending a picture of me as a baby so I could photoshop a group setting. So, here are me and two of my three children.

WARNING!!! 2.5 Chickens were harmed in the making of this entry!!

Today there was a chicken massacre in my house... the primary culprit in their demise was Christopher. How a 50 pound boy could consume 5 chicken legs, peas, and pasta salad is beyond me. I ate two legs and am full, Austin ate 2, and daddy ate 4. My little carnivore Christopher is a birdy killer.

Nothing, nothing, and more nothing!

I have no life... I have done absolutly nothing in the last month. I attribute a lot of it to having Bobby home 24/7. I am starting to get cabin fever...

I have had brief moments to break up the monotony.... lets see.

Saturday October 29th I had my fall cleaning...my house is already trashed, but hey, I have THREE boys and a husband out of work... what can you expect?? We celebrated their hard work my going to Wal-Mart and letting them pick out toys. We then went to the dollar theater and saw Charile and the Chocolate Factory.

Sunday we celebrated Christopher's birthday. We had a family celebration with cake & presents, with the grand finale being a treasure map to Christopher's new bicycle.

Monday we went trick or treating. My little Tigger did not like the event as much as Spiderman & Harry Potter. Harry and Spidey made out like bandits, each filling their pumpkin in less than an hour.

Matthew has a cold.... his first one, and we are all miserable. Poor little guy is not sleeping or nursing well.

Well, I must go tend to my little one, he's yelling at me again!
